ABOUT THE ARTIST

Maine native and Nashville, Tennessee resident Steffon Hamulak is a descendent of creativity.  From his Great Grandmother, a painter in her native Ukraine, on to his father, a published creative writer and photographer, to his brother, a painter and scenic artist for the film industry, it simply runs in the family.

Steffon, himself an established music producer and accomplished songwriter, considers the visual arts – specifically painting, a distinct passion.  He lives by the belief that creativity across all the arts, is universal. Steffon has brought that belief, along with his experience in creating music and long-time studies in photography, to the canvas with conviction.  “I love delivering excitement and creating a visual experience that moves and inspires imagination in people.  To me, art in any form is communication. A painting should be a personal conversation between the artist and viewer” comments Steffon.  His unique point of view dubbed, “Painting-In-Reverse”, high-lights bold color while inspiring emotion through visual motion, creating impactful and thought-provoking abstract images that appear to be bursting through a heavily textured canvas. A unique and refreshing direction for Modern Art.

Steffon has works installed in well over 100 private homes and businesses including, Landmark Bank Nashville, Vanderbilt University Medical Center Nashville, Element 41 Restaurant, Chardon, OH, The American Heart Association Greater Tennessee and Manoirs Design Gallery Nashville.
